For many of us, the past 18 months have been among the hardest of our lives. The isolation, the shunning, and the sense of betrayal as our loved ones lose themselves to this mass hysteria and as our right to think and speak freely is smothered by righteous busybodies. There is a grey filthy fog that has descended over everything.
But the human spirit does not tolerate being chained for long – it will always find new ways to carve out pockets of freedom. Sadness must give way to smiles. Isolation must give way to new beginnings. Silence must give way to the chatter of fresh voices and to the uncensored laughter that renews the soul.
So, it’s time to revive the speakeasy, updated for the digital age.

I very much enjoyed this talk which is the most thoughtful and penetrating that I have heard on these topics. For me, the key issue is "How do we effectively resist?" But to answer that question, we must answer the question of who is behind this operation and what are their goals. I heard a number of tentative indications in this talk, but I think we need to investigate the nature of the agents behind it more thoroughly before deciding on the best resistance strategy. Here's why:
As someone who has studied the civil rights movement as well as Gandhi's nonviolent campaigns, I have found is that to be successful, effective resistance has to be guided by a knowledge of the enemy as accurate as Gandhi's and MLK's. Nonviolent action needs to be guided by clear goals and an accurate understanding of the nature of the power to be resisted. In Gandhi's case, he understood the British Raj better than they understood themselves. It was the same with Dr. King and the racists that he challenged and defeated. Since the power of the Raj and the racists was well known, along with their primary goals and weaknesses, successful nonviolent campaigns could be mounted and executed successfully.
But the power behind the covid operation is unknown. It is clear that billionaires such as Bill Gates as well as presidents and prime ministers are playing roles, but it seems doubtful that they are in charge. This appears to be a highly organized and well-thought-out plan. There is much evidence of previous operations that set the stage for this. Virtually all the national governments on the planet are following the same guidelines. This argues for central coordination and a plan formulated and vetted years in advance.
If you don't know your enemy, you won't know how to defeat it, what constitutes progress, or if you have won or lost. For instance, let's say the unknown powers behind covid decided to let us drop the mask as long as we were vaccinated. Would that be a win or a loss? In my mind, it would be a loss because it reinforces the lie that we can only be as free as they allow us to be. Inculcating that notion seems to be one of the key goals of the operation. We need to identify which actions advance or diminish our human autonomy.
Some believe that Big Pharma is behind it due to the profits to be made from vaccines. I think they are on board with the operation, but it is unlikely that they are the driving force. Who has the power and wealth to manage and direct such a campaign? It appears that governments are not acting independently. If this is the case, then trying to get one's government to represent their people's true interest is going to be difficult because the actual source of authority lies elsewhere. Until we can identify who or what has the power to wield such control, our resistance won't be directed to the true enemy.
The power behind the covid operation is much more sophisticated than the British Raj or southern racism. They don a wide variety of costumes and broadcast a range of ever-shifting messages that don't seem to represent a single economic or political interest. The idea that the campaign is the result of a small group of billionaires trying to consolidate their control over the wealth of the planet is an idea worth considering, but it seems way too simplistic, a cover for a more complex and perhaps more threatening reality. They seem to be targeting not merely our physical freedom, but intending to invade our thinking, willing, and feeling. The notion of "biodigital convergence" is becoming a dominant meme.
What we believe about the source and purpose of this power will determine the success of any resistance strategy. If we believe that the governments of the world just bumbled into this campaign through panic and a failure to think through what they were imposing, then a workable strategy might be to demand that they restore the rights we previously had through democratic means. However, if it is being managed by powers greater than nation-states, then we need to infiltrate and expose those powers. In that case, we might be able to leverage the national governments as a base of support for an extended nonviolent resistance effort. Unfortunately, it is also likely in that case that our national governments have been deeply compromised by those powers.
I would like to hear what others believe about the nature of the power structure behind the covid operation and how different types of nonviolent resistance campaigns might be mounted based on the different types of powers that would have to be engaged.
We cannot undo the past. But we can find new ways to create light and color and sunshine in our lives to drive back this grey filthy fog === YES, and I'm heading to your Youtube Channel..you are the light! I always thought about the fact that there were Townhalls in the past, and well, although we do not have some small towns..we can try to collaborate and facillate some places to meet. I think this is excellent! Speakeasy, just its in the name --- Thanks Julius, your wisdom is so needed in this time - Martine!
